Michael started playing tennis when he was 12 years old and started playing year round in high school. He played collegiately at Tyler Junior College where his team won a National Championship and Michael was an All-American. He continued his playing career at IPFW where he played #1 singles and #1 doubles for the Mastodons. While playing at IPFW Michael started working part time at Wildwood and has transitioned from teaching professional, to head pro, to director of tennis.
Michael has been married to his wife, Beth Parker, for 18 years and has 3 kids, Macy (18), Jackson (14), and Halle (11). They are a very active family. Michael enjoys playing golf in his free time and watching all his kids’ activities.

Alexa is starting her 21st year with Wildwood Raquet + Wellness Club, having been hired as a high school helper in 2004, then became a certified professional in 2006. She taught tennis and worked as a front desk associate while obtaining her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at IPFW. Once she graduated, she became full time at Wildwood. Besides teaching, she also is the tournament director for all USTA junior tournaments, she is the local league coordinator for Junior Team Tennis, she runs all of the in-house leagues, and is in charge of various special events. Her most recent accomplishment was winning the Cap Leighton Award in 2020. Off the court, her biggest accomplishment was beating breast cancer in 2024!
Alexa recently got married in September of 2024 to her husband, Nate. She also has two boys – Ryan and Rowan, who enjoy playing both tennis and soccer. Alexa is an avid Duke basketball fan and her favorite hobby is reading.

Leah virtually grew up on the tennis court! She developed a love for tennis from spending time on the courts with her dad and discovered that she had a real gift for the game. Leah won various USTA tournaments all over the Midwest from the age of eight. She was undefeated throughout her high school career, reaching the State tournament each year. Although Leah is an Elite athlete, she is also a gifted instructor. She relates to and connects with young beginners and old beginners, as well as tennis players who are refining their games! Her love for tennis shows every time she steps out on court!

Jessica grew up in Bay City, MI and has been playing tennis since she was 12 years old and fell in love with the game instantly. She played singles and doubles all through high school. After high school she went to Ferris State University and graduated in 2012 with a degree in Professional Tennis Management. While at Ferris she learned how to teach group and private lessons, string racquets, run tournaments and all things tennis. She also did an internship in Florida during the summer of 2011. Once she graduated in 2012 Jessica moved to Cincinnati, OH and taught tennis at Mercy HealthPlex for 4 years. 2016 is when she moved to Fort Wayne, IN and started teaching at Wildwood. She fell in love with Wildwood and Fort Wayne immediately and loves the family like atmosphere.

Eric has taught physical education in Fort Wayne Community Schools for 35 years and coached various sports including tennis during that time. Eric started teaching tennis at Wildwood in 2000 and has been sponsored by Prince and Head during his teaching career. Eric is married to Truly and has one son. Carter is working as a Construction Engineer and enjoys all sports.

RoxAnn began her teaching career as a Physical Education teacher at Woodlan High School. During that time she coached the Leo High School girl’s tennis team for 2 years where she was 2 time ACAC Coach of the year. She then became the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at IPFW for 2 years. After coaching at IPFW she taught at Wildwood Racquet + Wellness Club for 5 years before moving to Florida in 2006 where she was an instructor at Palencia Tennis Center for 10 years. In 2016 she returned to Fort Wayne and began teaching at Wildwood Racquet + Wellness again.
RoxAnn has been married to her husband David for 28 years and they have two daughters, Payton and Olivia. Payton is a recent college graduate and played four years of volleyball and 3 years of tennis at Cedarville University in Ohio and Olivia currently attends Huntington University where she is a member of the women’s volleyball team.

Brooke taught high school English for 4 years, split between a private school in the Chicago area and at Homestead High School, her alma mater. She coached girls’ tennis and girls’ soccer at both schools in some capacity. Her passion for teaching and coaching then continued to Wildwood Racquet and Wellness Club in 2012. She homeschooled her older children from 2020-2024.
Brooke placed 2nd in State for tennis for 2 years while a student at Homestead and placed 2nd in State for soccer as well. She played 4 years of tennis at Wheaton College (IL), both singles and doubles, and she still enjoys playing tennis today!
Brooke has been married to her husband, James Haifley, for 17 years. They have 6 children: Jameson (11), Vinny (9), Dominic (7), William (5), Jackson (2), and Eleanor (2). They love to play many sports, but especially what they can play together—like tennis and pickle ball!

Yasmin is rated 5.5 and went to USTA Nationals two times in 2010 & 2012 with her 5.0 Women’s team tennis from Ann Arbor, MI. Yasmin played college tennis at Sacramento State, division 1. She was the #1 player in Egypt for 18 & under and was ranked 120 in ITF (International Tennis Federation). She played African & Arabic Championship for her country for 16 &under & 18 and under.
Yasmin taught at West Hills Athletic Club in Kalamazoo, MI for 9 years before moving to Fort Wayne. Before that, she was the assistant Tennis Director at Travis Pointe Country Club, in Ann Arbor, MI. She also was the high school tennis JV coach at Pioneer HS, division 1 in Ann Arbor, MI. She also helped the Varsity team. She then became the varsity High School coach for the girls and boys team at Portage Northern High school for 1 year.
Yasmin has been married to her husband, Dr. Maged Hamed for 10 years and has a stepson Hady (23), and a daughter Haniya (8).

Sean has a bachelor’s Degree in Sports and Recreation management, and a master’s degree in Sports and Leadership Management from Keystone College. He played tennis for two years at Division 3 Keystone College as well as running Cross country and Track for three years.
Throughout his time coaching, Sean has taught at Recreational, High school, and High-Performance programs.

About Mike

Mike attended Marietta College in Marietta, OH where he was a three-time captain of the men’s varsity tennis team. Upon graduation, he became the assistant coach for the men’s and women’s tennis programs at Marietta and shortly after, took over the role as the head coach for both programs. A role he kept for roughly a decade before moving to Bradenton, FL to become a tennis coach at IMG Academy.
While at IMG Academy, Mike trained aspiring junior professional tennis players, helped with the videography program for full-time students and summer campers. He gave presentations on singles and doubles strategy, and maintained an extensive online coaching regimen via an online coaching platform called CoachNow.
In 2021, Mike found Pickleball and fell in love with the sport. Taking quickly to the sport, he has achieved a DUPR of over 5.0 in singles and doubles, competed in professional qualifying tournaments, and brought his tennis coaching experience to the Pickleball courts where he gives technique and strategy-based lessons that encourage proper form, good decision-making, and a competitive spirit. He looks forward to making Wildwood Racquet + Wellness Club the premier Pickleball community in the greater Fort Wayne area.
A fun fact about Mike: He plays tennis right handed but plays Pickleball left handed! Mike can make a mean smash burger and enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Alex Carpenter.

Ryan has taught physical education in Fort Wayne Community Schools and coached high school tennis for over 29 years. This will be his third stint with Wildwood Racquet + Wellness Club, having been hired as a tennis professional in 2001 and again in 2020 when he spearhead the Pickleball program. He is a sponsored Pickleball player for Paddletek as well as a dealer for their company. His most recent playing accomplishment is winning Gold in mixed doubles at Nationals in Mesa, AZ (2024).
Ryan has been married to his wife, Emily Keirns for 27 years and has two sons, Foster (19) and Duncan (16) who both play tennis and pickleball. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys dabbling in the craft beer world.
Ryan is also the Pickleball tournament director for Wildwood Racquet + Wellness.
Taylor Rhinehart

About Taylor
Taylor is from Fort Wayne, IN where he graduated from Homestead High School playing soccer and basketball. In high school, Taylor played two years with the Indiana Fire Academy and was ranked as a top-100 national recruit by TopDrawerSoccer. Taylor then attended Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH where he was a top striker in the Big East for the Men’s Soccer Team. He played a key role during the 2023 season, helping Xavier capture the school’s first Big East Tournament Championship, and was named the Most Outstanding Offensive Player for the tournament.
During college, Taylor led Christian ministry through Athletes in Action, which was a key part in his growth in college. This brought great relationships in his life and provided a foundation for Taylor to bring back home to Fort Wayne and the rest of his life. He also maintained a private, online coaching platform in the Cincinnati area through a platform called CoachUp.
In 2021, Taylor was introduced to pickleball by his grandmother. Taylor’s table tennis background made him fall in love with the sport. In Cincinnati, Taylor found himself playing with many 5.0+ players and some local professional pickleball players. This allowed him to understand many techniques and strategies, directly correlating to his desire to coach at Wildwood Racquet + Wellness Club. He gives classes and lessons encouraging efficient, match-winning techniques and strategies to grow and improve one’s Pickleball game.
Helping develop and direct the Junior Pickleball Program at Wildwood is something he is excited to see expand as the youth Pickleball scene is exponentially growing throughout the United States.

Within her career, member relations and high customer service standards have been a major focus. She is excited to share her passion as she grows into the private club and racquets industry.

Andrew is a former nationally ranked junior tennis player. He also played at the Division 1 and professional levels. After tennis, he competed in powerlifting for nearly a decade, holding numerous records and qualifying for multiple national and world championships. A Northeast Indiana native, Andrew grew up participating in Wildwood’s tennis programs. This is his second time working for the club, having been hired as a stringer in 2006.
Andrew is also a professor of writing and philosophy and the co-creator of a community-based arts education program. When he is not in the gym or teaching, he enjoys spending time with his wife Anna-Lisa and their two dogs.
Andrew is available for private and group training sessions and will be involved with coaching our Academy athletes for tennis specific performance enhancement.

About Tanisha
Chef Tye is an accomplished culinary executive, certified nutrition professional, and bilingual leader with more than fifteen years of experience building and leading high-performance food and beverage operations across private clubs, hospitality organizations, and entrepreneurial ventures. Her background spans large-scale club dining, catering and events, cloud kitchens, meal-prep enterprises, and full-service restaurant ownership, with a consistent record of elevating quality, efficiency, and guest experience.
Prior to joining Wildwood, Chef Tye served as Executive Chef of The Riviera Club in Indianapolis, where she oversaw all culinary operations including à la carte dining, catering, special events, and concessions. She led teams of up to fifty staff members, managed purchasing and inventory systems, controlled food and labor costs, and partnered closely with senior leadership to deliver elevated member experiences. Her leadership style emphasizes structure, accountability, and workforce development, including partnerships with Ivy Tech Community College.
As a business owner and founder of Tye Tasteful Plateful Caribbean Meal Prep and Café, Chef Tye successfully scaled high-volume meal production operations, including nutrition-driven programs supporting professional athletic organizations. She demonstrated strong financial stewardship by driving profit growth, reducing waste, and adapting operations through strategic cloud kitchen expansion and process optimization.
Her entrepreneurial experience also includes founding Sazón de Panamá, the Midwest’s first Panamanian restaurant. In this role, she led all aspects of operations, financial management, vendor negotiations, and brand development, earning regional media recognition. Earlier in her career, Chef Tye held executive culinary roles internationally, managing high-budget food programs and leading multicultural teams.
Chef Tye brings a global culinary perspective grounded in disciplined operations, financial responsibility, and guest-focused hospitality. Her leadership is guided by a simple and deeply held motto of faith, family, and future. These principles shape how she builds teams, develops people, and creates sustainable food and beverage programs.
She is a certified nutrition professional, ServSafe Food Protection Manager certified, licensed to serve alcohol in Indiana, fluent in English and Spanish, and holds a degree in Accounting. These credentials support her strong command of operational systems and financial accountability.
Chef Tye is also a proud mother of two children, Anastacia, age twenty-five, and Aiden, age fifteen. This role further informs her people-first leadership approach and reinforces her commitment to mentorship, balance, and building environments where individuals and teams can grow with confidence and purpose.
